The Socrates Educa International School school fees vary depending on the student´s age, but are always paid in 10 equal payments throughout the school year.
The fees start at €450/payment in nursery and preschool, and vary increasingly through primary, secondary and baccalaureate, which will also depend on whether they wish to undertake the local BAT diploma (approved by the Government of Catalonia, Spain and PISA), the IB diploma (International Baccalaureate Diploma) or the dual BAT + IB diploma.
The other expenses associated with school life are few and far between, depending on what they want, their age and family profile (large families, special needs, etc.):
- Material and books (one payment per academic year), excursions (approximately 3 per academic year), end-of-year camps or exchange trips (varies from P1 to BAT).
- For optional services, with different and flexible rates: transport, canteen, extracurricular activities and reception service.
Given the diversity in the combination of possibilities, we recommend contacting the school to consult the spending profile associated with each family and the possibilities of obtaining discounts or financial aid.

Yes. We are an inclusive school with its own specialised Psychopedagogy Department. In any case, we recommend contacting the school to discuss what these needs are, in order to ensure the smoothest transition possible.
The number of students per class varies according to age. There are two groups for each year group, ranging from 12 students in nursery school to 25 in preschool and primary school and a maximum of 30 in ESO and Baccalaureate. These numbers enable us to build the ideal relationships with students and have the socialisation capacity to help each and every one of them find the most suitable solution for their needs at any time and age.
However, these are maximum values that are greatly affected by the Socrates Educa International School teaching methodology, with many teachers and consistent splits.
The groups and the relationship protocols between the students of the school may be altered within the Covid-19 security protocol framework.
Yes, the Socrates Educa International School is committed to the uniform as a tool to foster equity, as a way of ensuring that students focus on what it is they attend school for and to forget about other things, often associated with clothing, that are not part of the values we want to teach them or that distract them from what is really important: being well dressed, wearing comfortable and practical clothes for daily school life.
From P1 to P3, students wear a tracksuit; from P4 to 4th of ESO, students wear the school uniform, and in Baccalaureate they no longer wear a uniform, although they must respect the existing regulations in this regard.
We could say that the multiple combination of garments and the flexibility when it comes to choosing the colours make wearing a uniform less “uniformed”, since the students are free to come up with a combination that best suits their tastes, more in line with their own style, making them more original.
In our opinion, wearing a uniform cuts down on expenses and streamlines the time spent getting ready for school.
To make things even easier, everything needed can be bought in the school shop (whether online or in-store).
Yes. Different lines for all age groups, from P2 to BAT, bringing the school closer to other parts of the region. The service is provided by a safe and reliable company with extensive experience in school transport.
Furthermore, we would like to encourage the use of school transport as another measure to foster sustainability and the environment.

The canteen is one of the school´s other very important educational spaces
Students may chose to eat here regularly or more sporadically. We offer different rates that adapt to each family´s needs. To offer the canteen service, we combine different high quality services:
The kitchen, run by an expert company that works exclusively on behalf of the Socrates Educa International School, is supervised by external and internal inspectors, offering a diet that is reviewed and overseen by our own in-house dietitian, and made with products purchased by the school. We control the entire process to serve healthy, attractive and tasty food, while, at the same time, instilling proper eating patterns to our students and educating them on trying a wide variety of foods.
The supervisors, who are also part of the school team, provide the necessary coverage to ensure that the canteen operation runs smoothly, as well as the associated leisure space.
The school´s dietitian and nutritionist not only oversees the menus, food quality and special diets, the role involves teaching students about food from an early age while, at the same time, addressing the doubts and needs of students or their families.
In the canteen, we not only strive to ensure that students learn how to eat properly and healthily, we also take the opportunity to work on local and international culture related aspects. Furthermore, we also have special diet options if required.
A wide range of activities. They are open to students attending the school as well as children and young people that attend other schools (from P2 to BAT), and even for families, parents, if you are up for it. We offer lunchtime and afternoon activities. Our extracurricular activities are centred around languages, sports, music and art, science and technology, as well as other unique and special ones.
For more detailed information on extracurricular activities, visit the appropriate section.
Schedules and guidelines for extracurricular activities may be altered as part of the Covid-19 safety protocol framework.
Yes, the Socrates Educa International School EXTRA Summer Programmes, with multiple options for all ages, aimed at students attending the school and children and young people that attend other schools. They are particularly recommended for practicing languages (English, Spanish, Catalan or Chinese) or for new students, giving them the chance to come into contact with future classmates and the environment before starting school in September.
The activities take place in and around the school or in Andorra (Naturlandia - Socrates Educa International School). Language programmes can also be combined with leisure and sports programmes.
On the other hand, we also offer winter activities, the Socrates Educa International School EXTRA Winter Programmes, which are carried out at the school itself or in Andorra (Naturlandia - Socrates Educa International School).
If you would like more detailed information, visit the corresponding section.
The activities offered as part of these programmes may be altered as part of the Covid-19 security protocol framework.
Students will learn the world´s three most spoken languages: English, Spanish and Chinese, as well as the language spoken in the region, Catalan.
P1 to P5: total immersion in English.
Catalan, Spanish and Chinese will be introduced in primary school, and will be taught until students leave school.
They can have their levels in these languages certified before they leave school. See specific information on the topic.
No. The family must meet with one of the representatives designated by the school in this regard, in order to discuss the student´s needs and assess whether we can meet them (curriculum, course, subjects, languages, special needs, etc.). For each specific case, and in agreement with the family, the most appropriate one will be decided on a per-student basis.
No. Although this may be evaluated to some extent if the student joins the school at an advanced age. However, in each case, the family must meet with one of the representatives designated by the school in this regard, in order to discuss the student´s needs as well as what can be done to optimise being awarded a place at the school.
In the event that we become aware of the need to offer language support (any of the school´s vehicular languages), appropriate support and reinforcement programmes will be suggested in mutual agreement with the family, during and outside school hours, if applicable).
Basically, having passed secondary school anywhere in the world provided that it is homologated in each country.X
It is also important to assess the suitability of undertaking the IB in each specific case, in accordance with university requirements, the destination and the degree that each student will want to undertake.
In many different ways. As our raison d'être, and according to the philosophy of our pedagogical model, the Socrates Educa International School invites families to feel part of their children’s educational project in different ways, among which we would like to highlight:
A fluid, accessible, open, honest and easy communication, both face-to-face and virtual.
An invitation to direct dialogue with the teaching staff, the tutors, the management and administrative team.
Accessibility to the school: Easy access to the school and being in the same building as your children. With a flexible timetable to drop students off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. Parents can access the cafeteria, the library, living and waiting areas, or shop in the shop, etc.
Parents are often invited to open days with their children, to participate and explain their what they do for a living or take part in special activities in the classroom, among other activities, in all years, from P1 to BAT.
Families are also involved in planning school life through the Socrates Educa International School clubs: four clubs, in which parents, in collaboration with the school, carry out activities around:
- Community Services Club
- Health, Science and Technology Club
- Art, Culture and Leisure Club
- Sports Club
These clubs have representatives who meet with the Socrates Educa International School and the Socrates Educa Foundation to discuss the school calendar, the shared activities of families and schools, and to organise joint activities for the entire school community, such as the Socrates Educa International School Calçotada and the Patronage Night.
Families can also take part in various extracurricular activities.
