School year

The academic year at the Socrates Educa® International School is split into three terms. It starts in September and ends in June, and classes are held from Monday to Friday. Christmas and Easter are holiday periods during which the school remains closed.

Christmas: from 21/12/2023 to 07/01/2024

Easter: from 25/04/24 to 02/04/24

Bank holidays

The school will be closed on public holidays dictated by the Government of Catalonia and the Spanish Government. Free-choice holidays or local festivities are spread throughout the year in the most appropriate way for students.

In the attached calendar, you can see the dates for the 2023-2024 academic year.

School hours

08:30 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 16:30.

Adaptation process: for the youngest, in P1 and P2, there is a period of discretionary and personalised adaptation.

In the mornings, there is a half-hour break, staggered between between Primary school children and ESO/Baccalaureate students.

At lunch time, between 13:00 and 15:00, time is set aside to eat in the canteen followed by a leisure activity, always overseen by our own supervisors and included in the canteen service (voluntarily).

Reception service

From 07:30 to 08:30 and from 16:30 to 17:30.

Extracurricular activities

On a voluntary basis, students can sign up termly.

At lunchtime, one of the two hours is devoted to relaxing extracurricular activities, such as music, choir, chess, etc.

The afternoon extracurricular activities are carried out every day, between 16:30 and 19:00.

Other celebrations

Traditional local, Catalan festivals, and adherence to international days. Furthermore, there will be a series of conferences for the educational community (students, families and teachers), as well as various cultural activities.
