The legend comes to life every spring, but at Sòcrates Educa International School it goes far beyond a story: it becomes a shared, supportive, and deeply educational experience.

The celebration of Saint George’s Day once again filled the school with books, roses, and smiles. Throughout the day, the hallways and common areas were transformed into a meeting point where literature, culture, and community spirit became the true protagonists.

One of the most special moments was the charity book sale. Students and teachers actively took part in collecting, organizing, and selling books, giving many stories a second life. Beyond encouraging reading, this initiative had a clear social purpose: all the funds raised were donated to the Dignity association, reinforcing values such as empathy, responsibility, and commitment to the community.

At the same time, the traditional rose sale brought a symbolic and emotional touch to the celebration. Managed with great involvement by the students, and especially by the Year 10 tutors, this activity not only helped create a festive atmosphere but also allowed students to develop skills such as organization, teamwork, and personal initiative.

Saint George’s Day at Sòcrates Educa is not just a cultural celebration: it is an opportunity to learn by doing, to share, and to grow as a community. A day when books bring people together, roses inspire emotion, and solidarity leaves a lasting mark.
