Experiencing sustainability

At Socrates Educa International School, sustainability is not just a key value in school life. It is also a shared

duty that is practised each and every day by all the members of the school community. A culture of respect
for the environment permeates every activity, from how the buildings are designed, built and maintained to
the way daily life is organised. The use of clean energy, such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting, waste
recycling and composting of organic waste, are good examples of this. This way of looking at and practising
sustainability also encourages values such as responsible consumption and self-restraint.
