Utai, the project by Damià, Leire and Carla that seeks to purify the air and the soul

The three students from the school, winners of the 7th Audi Creativity Challenge, spent three weeks in Silicon Valley this summer where
they worked on and presented their project to major companies and investors in the area. This project was the winner from more than 500 registered
teams seeking proposals to respond to the challenge of sustainable innovation and improving the future of our society and the planet.

To purify the air in a sustainable way through moss, a highly purifying plant - this is the purpose and starting point of the project by Damià, Carla and Leire to fight the environmental crisis through the use of street furniture. One square metre of moss has an air-purifying capacity equivalent to that of 30 trees. With this premise they launched the project that took them to Silicon Valley.

For three intense weeks Carla, Damià, Leire and their teachers Miss Margalef and
Mr Vallvé followed an exclusive course on creativity and disruptive innovation at the Imagine Creative Center where, in addition to developing their
project in depth by incubating and accelerating their idea, shared experiences with professionals from other leading companies such as Google,
Samsung and professors from Stanford and Berkeley universities.

Utai is today an innovative project that seeks not only to purify the air of large cities, but also the soul of people. “During the road trip along the West Coast, we
spent a lot of time without phone coverage and we realized that we really enjoyed those moments since you connected with yourself and thought about very interesting
things. This is how we came to evolve our project where in addition to purifying the air, the project could serve to purify oneself.

Utai has the option of installing a signal inhibitor where users can voluntarily disconnect from their electronic devices for a while, an idea that, in addition to being
used in banks, we think could be considered for companies and public institutions.

This is how they themselves explained it to us on July 14th, with their teachers and surrounded by their families in a media call at school where we were
able to share and explain this American adventure to many media outlets, without a doubt an experience they will never forget. Here we leave you the links to some
published media.
