1st International Exchange EIC

ESO 3 students have had their 1st International Exchange EIC with Sint-Lodewikjscollege school located in Brugge, Belgium, from 26 April to 3 May.

This first exchange is part of the International Program of EIC designed for our students since the beginning of the project of our school.

The school of Belgium has over 25 years experience in exchanges and this has enabled us to start the project efficiently.

Our students are accommodated in families who also have children of the same age and studying ESO 3. Thus, the exchange experience is  "total" because they live the everyday’s life in a different country with different customs and traditions.

Throughout the school days we have had several visits and activities:

We visited the city of Brugge through an interesting activity prepared from the area of Geography and History, being part of the Belgian groups and following a dossier with points to discover, having the opportunity to see Saint John's Hospital, Groenige Museum, the Historium and all the old part of the town.

We have also had the opportunity to visit Brussels and we have known the city, its institutions and the most important buildings, the Atomium, etc.

An interesting part of the exchange programme is that the students from both schools already met each other before because they have been preparing the 1st part of a research project "on-line".

Taking advantage of The International Year of the Sustainable Tourism and the characteristics of both cities, Brugge and Salou, we are carrying out a comparative work whose results will drop in public and we will report them to the departments concerned.

We talk about poverty / wealth, environment, security, culture and employment.

We want to thank all the families their confidence, dedication and the participation in this 1st exchange of EIC that will be an unforgettable experience for all of us.

Thanks!
